Jay looked around the amusement park, he had never been here before because many people told him it was to dangerous. He took careful steps looking over his back. It was said that many rouges hung around this area and held fights. Jay wasn't interested in the fighting, he just wanted to see what this place was like, he was very interested in places that where abandon.
After walking for awhile watching his back he was sure that no one else was around. He was now standing an a area that was once the old food court. The place was now covered in leaves and many of the tables where turned over. But the place seemed to be strangely peaceful, and oddly enough inviting.
He started to wonder why the place was abandon in the first place? Was it abandon when the school was built or long before that?
He quickly turned around swearing he seen something out of the corner of his eye. Jay's heart started to race as he looked where he thought he seen something. Was he wrong? Where their really people here all along? Something could be heard coming from inside of one of the Abandon Fun Houses.
The clown face entrance seemed to mock him from across the food court. The eyes seemed to stare directly at him, he jumped back as a massive swarm of bats flew out of the mouth scaring him half to death. He laughed aloud trying to calm himself, It was just bats don't get yourself all worked up He though

Vera had seen the boy approach the carnival gate and quickly dissappeared behind one of the game booths when he passed. She was used to being alone when here but a little company just made her curious. Following him proved to be easier than she had thought, at one time she even stepped on the heel of his shoe. She assummed he was too busy being entranced by the dark, theatrical appearace of the amusment park to notice her.
When he stopped at the food court she moved behind one of the many turned over tables. It wasn't a moment to soon because she watched as he moved quickly to where she had previously been.
He jumped back as a massive swarm of bats flew out of the mouth scaring him half to death.
She couldn't muffle her laughter though her hands, it simply was too much. Her giggles echoed over the park and her position was a dead give-away.

Jay turned around to the sound of laughter. Once again he nearly fell over in fear. Was she there just a second ago, of course she couldn't have been he would have seen her...Right? He watched the girl curiously, there was no way she could have been there before.
A faint smile crossed his face as he looked at her. He was really quite comical if he thought about it. Jay himself started to laugh with the girl once again. After awhile he caught his breath.
"I guess it was funny from your point of view." He said with a smile still on his face.

He had a nice sense of humour, something she herself admired. She stood up slowly with a smile obviously plastered on her lips.
"Indeed, quite." She took the few steps to breach the gap between them, smiling brightly and pushing the few giggles left to the back of her throat. "I'm Vera. V-E-R-A. You know, like the designer? Or maybe you don't. Like it matters, it hardly matters. People just bring it up and I really don't care. Thought I might as well before you do." She paused for a hesitant breath, "So, who are you and why do you venture into the depths of this abandoned freakish place?" Her eyes narrowed and there was a hostile tension between the two.

"I'm Jay." He said.
Jay watched the girl closely, it seemed that her words where becoming hostile toward him. She wanted to know why he was in a place like this. But he could ask her the same thing, besides what was it any of her business.
He shifted his weight to his right foot looking at the girl. She was standing pretty close to him now. A faint smile crossed his face then was gone in a second. He liked this girl, she wasn't like many of the other people.
"Just wandering around, What are you doing out here?"

Vera believed him and let her guard back down. Sighing she turned and walked forward slowly brushing the tables with her finger tips. "Oh, nothing much. You know? A bit of this a snip of that. Just like you said," she turned to him, "Wandering." she smiled brightly.
"Ever been here before?"

Jay started to follow the girl as she ran her fingers across the old tables. He watched as her fingers gently brushed across the top of them. It was quite some time before he realized he was staring at the girl.
"Ever been here before?"
He shook his head no as he looked around. Jay had always knew about this place but never came until today. And he was pretty glad he did, it was really interesting once you got used to the way it looked.
"No I haven't been here before, You seem like you come here often though, Right?"

She placed her hand onto the booth counter behind her slipping up onto it, "Well, more than you at least."
She kicked her feet several times before slinging them over the counter and dropping to the other side.
"It's always been my sort of hide out." she whispered while dipping behind the counter. "What made you come here? Oh, right wandering... Uhm."
After fumbling around loudly for a moment she quickly peeked back up with enthusiasm, a smile highlighting her face as much as the moon. "Do you like..." she hesitantly spoke after checking if the coast was clear, "roller coasters?"

Jay didn't know if he liked roller coasters or not, he hadn't rode one before. He thought they looked fun, but he never once got a chance to ride one and moving to this school didn't make it any easier.
"I wouldn't know, I have never rode on one before." He replied.
A gentle breeze made its way across the Amusement Park, sending leaves flying across the ground. Jay watched as the skidded past and kept going for a short distance until the wind stopped. Jay then looked back to the girl and smiled.
"It would be fun to ride one though."

Vera rested her head on her hand on the counter with a large "Thump!" in reply.
"Well aren't you just lacking in lifetime experiences?" she giggled rhetorically dipping back down behind the counter.
"It would be fun to ride one though."
"I'm certianly going to take that as a, 'Oh, yes, Vera I would love to go for a spin on the wild wild ride of rollercoasterduhm-ness.'" she said mocking his voice and squishing all the words together.
She scrambled for the three thin wires hidden inside the booth, they looked relatively new compared to the rest of the amusment park. She tentively touched the raw end of the cords and made a whisperingly sweet humming noise. She then bound the four wires together with electrical tape.
"Now, now, now," she said motherly, "This is to be kept a secret." She jumped over the counter like a pole vaulter would and walked in the direction of the entirely silent coaster which hovered over every other ride.

Jay watched as her head hit her hand. It wasn't his fault he had never rode one before, well it could have been he guessed. He watched as she went back under the counter. Whats she doing under there? he caught himself wondering.
Off in the distance it sounded as if something was coming to life. He watched the girl interested in what she was doing. He stood back as she jumped over the counter and headed off in another direction. He took it that he was suppose to follow her so he quickly ran after her. He remained as he walked by her side.

Vera disappeared momentarily behind a wall, she flicked open a small box and clanked down a lever with dull force. As the coasters lights blinked werrily off and on she walked up to the rides entrance, "Enter one and all!" she shouted with a micheveous grin, "Prepare yourself for a frightful spin!"
The light blinked on and off behind her, unsure of their own power. She pulled open the gate with a slight creak and shuffled him inside.

Jay looked around the roller coaster, it didn't seem all that safe. He was starting to wonder if the girl had done this before. The lights flickered over head on and off, that couldn't be good he thought. The next thing he knew he was being pushed past the gate. Well there was no turning back, besides he should just enjoy it. But the question of was it safe was still eating away at him.
"Have you done this before?" He asked

"Uh... Multitudes of time." Vera winked in the boys direction and boarded the -perfectlysafe- contraption.
"Please Keep All Limbs Inside the Ride at All Times. If You Feel Ill Use Your Manners and Stomach It Till The Ride Has Come to a Comeplete and Timely Stop. Enjoy, Safely." She mumbled above the rides gear turning.

The roller coaster started off slow but then quickly picked up speed. It wasn't long before they started climbing higher and higher to the first drop. At the first drop he thought he was going to lose his lunch. It wasn't long after that they quickly made a turn and started to head up another drop. After the second drop Jay was starting to have more fun, and just up ahead he could see another twist but this one was gonna take him upside down.
After the ride Jay found it a bit hard to stand. But that was the most fun he had ever had in a long time. He looked back to the girl with a smile on his face, he was glad she shared this with him.
"Thanks, That was really fun." Jay said.
